Holding various post-secondary degrees, Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement Administration and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western Illinois University, and his Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School. Robert’s extensive professional experience includes trial practice involving transportation & construction accidents, insurance coverage, contract disputes, fraudulent transactions, criminal defense & police liability. He holds various professional appointments including appointment by the Governor of Illinois to the Illinois Workers Compensation Review Board, the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association Legal Advisory Panel, Legal Counsel to the Chicago Executive Pilots Association, and most recently, the Aviation Law Committee of The Florida Bar for 2020-2021.
One of Robert’s greatest career highlights includes serving as Continuing Legal Education Coordinator for the Illinois State Bar Association, where for more than 20 years, he organized and spoke at trial practice seminars throughout the state with attorneys and judges. Robert also served as Co-Lead Counsel in Fox River Grove Illinois Train - School Bus Crash, October 25, 1995.
In his role as Chief Legal Officer, Robert oversees all outside legal services, as well as provides counsel to the corporate officers and directors on legal and regulatory matters ranging from contracts, employment, aviation, workers compensation, insurance, and governmental relations.
