Naples, Fla. (July 15, 2025) – Luxury took on new meaning in the skies over Southwest Florida as Elite Jets donated a private helicopter experience to the 2025 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest, raising vital funds for Golisano Children’s Hospital—the region’s only dedicated pediatric surgical facility between Tampa and Miami.
As part of its ongoing commitment to community causes, the Naples-based private aviation company offered a once-in-a-lifetime scenic helicopter tour during the live auction at the Wine Fest. The winning bidders didn’t just enjoy breathtaking views—they helped uplift the future of families across the region.
“It was very nice of Elite Jets to donate that ride,” said winning bidder Karen Medford, who enjoyed the flight with friend Kathy Moock. “We’re always looking for ways to give back, and this felt like the perfect mix of fun and philanthropy.”
Veteran pilot Joe Fragione, who has more than 38 years of helicopter experience, guided the tour. With deep local knowledge and a passion for storytelling, Joe transformed the flight into more than just a sightseeing adventure.
“One of the most unique ways to experience Southwest Florida is from the sky,” said Fragione. “From Estero Bay to Sanibel, each view has a story—especially in the wake of Hurricane Ian. I want passengers to understand the resilience of these communities.”
Passengers soared over Sanibel Island, the historic lighthouse, and Pine Island’s recovering coastlines—witnessing not only beauty, but also progress. Joe shared insights on post-storm recovery, from rebuilt fishing villages to restored beaches and boats still marked by the storm’s impact.
“Joe was beyond awesome—kind, informative, and made us feel completely safe,” said Kathy Moock. “He gave us such a rich, engaging tour. It was really an enjoyable evening.”
After landing back in Naples, the guests capped off the evening with a gourmet dinner at Sails Restaurant—an elegant end to an unforgettable journey that combined luxury, heart, and purpose.
When asked if they would recommend the experience, Medford didn’t hesitate:
