Naples-based luxury air charter hires Peter Boyd to lead fleet expansion
Elite Jets, a growing Southwest Florida-based charter aircraft service for affluent business and leisure travelers, has named Peter Boyd as its director of aircraft management.
Boyd has earned a solid reputation within the North American aviation industry, most recently working as a consultant for Canadian private jet operator Charter Air Group, with responsibility for the strategic direction of its marketing and sales departments.
He previously spent more than a decade in private aviation, including as director of business development and strategy for JSX, senior account director for the western region and Asia Pacific for Jet Aviation, and served as a consultant with Chartright Air Group. Boyd earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Francisco State University.
“Peter is a dynamic senior executive with years of solution-based sales, management and customer service experience,” said Elite Jets President Mark London. “He brings a deep understanding of aircraft management and will help further solidify and enhance Elite Jets’ position at the forefront of the industry.”
“He is a great fit for our senior leadership team,” added Stephen Myers, CAM, executive vice president at Elite Jets. “We are confident that Peter’s skillset will further elevate our ability to deliver a safe, fun and elegant travel experience for our passengers.”
As director of aircraft management, Boyd will oversee a new branch of Elite Jets that will focus on growing the company through aircraft acquisition. Elite Jets currently has a fleet of four Embraer Phenom 300s, one Embraer Legacy 500, one Gulfstream G550 and a Bell 407 helicopter.
“Elite Jets enjoys an industry-wide reputation for excellence,” Boyd said. “It is both a pleasure and privilege to join the company’s dedicated team of professionals, and I look forward to helping Elite Jets continue to grow, prosper and innovate in the years ahead.”
